A pioneer consultancy in socioenvironmental management, Diagonal has a long history of involvement in the public sector, having influenced the evolution of policies focused on humanized social work, and the relationship and dialogue with communities.

Areas of operation

Management of Peripheral Territories

Conceptualization, planning, design, and management of integrated interventions in peripheral territories through Slum Urbanization and/or neighborhood plans built with the participation and leadership of the community, within the concept of Social Urbanism. 

Technical Social Work

Execution and management of relationship work, reception, and social dialogue with communities, through socioassistential and socioeducational support to families, in all phases of the projects (pre-intervention, intervention, and post-intervention), contributing to the socioeconomic and environmental development of the territories.

Resettlement

Consulting, management, and execution of the negotiation, removal, and involuntary resettlement process of families in interventions to free up public areas, in order to enable the implementation of socioenvironmental projects and the execution of infrastructure works and economic enterprises of collective interest.

Assessoria e execução das ações, produtos e serviços urbanísticos, ambientais, jurídicos e sociais para a Regularização Fundiária de imóveis irregulares, viabilizando o título de posse às famílias.

Urban Planning and Management

Development of studies, master and sectoral plans, and urban-environmental projects in the areas of urbanism, housing, integrated sanitation, solid waste, urban drainage, mobility, tourism, and the environment.

Territorial Intelligence

Studies, mapping (georeferencing), and systematization of territorial information, through an integrated and multidisciplinary perspective, aiming to support Governments and City Halls in strategically applying socioenvironmental knowledge.

Program Management

Development of studies, integrated plans, and management of socioeconomic development programs focused on Social Interest Housing, Land Regularization, Integrated Sanitation, Social Assistance (homeless population), Job and Income Generation (productive inclusion), and Natural Disaster Management with vulnerable populations.

Sanitation

Provision of specialized services in basic sanitation (water supply services, sewage collection and treatment, urban cleaning, garbage collection and disposal, and drainage and rainwater management) and integrated sanitation, prioritizing the adoption of the condominium system for water supply and sewage systems, including the execution of works.

Gerenciamento e execução de obras

Management and execution of infrastructure works, such as: basic sanitation (water supply services, sewage collection and treatment, urban cleaning, garbage collection and disposal, and drainage and management of rainwater), urban mobility (accessibility, transport, and road system), urbanization of slums and irregular allotments, aiming for proper execution and minimization of impacts on the territories.

Monitoring and Evaluation of Socio-environmental Impacts

Provision of specialized consultancy and advisory services for the definition and monitoring of process indicators, results, and evaluation of socioenvironmental impacts of programs and projects.
