Condominium was founded in 1993 and is based in the city of Recife, Pernambuco. Its aim is to develop sanitation projects in the quest for universalization of water supply and sewage systems, in accordance with the Condominium Method. The method originated in 1980 and is now used in most Brazilian states and Latin American countries, especially Peru, where it is applied to basic sanitation services, especially with regard to sewage.
